Middle East Electricity is an annual exhibition event organized by IIR Dubai. In 2007 it showcased over 850 exhibitors from 55 countries making it the leading energy event of its kind in the world.
Our CMS solution has been used for the creation and management of the MEE website. The solution has been customized to cater to the special needs of the client. In addition to the major features like template based content creation, custom form creation facilities, secure page creation, menu management etc. some extra features have been added.
The event has five sub events associated with it. The CMS uses 5 different templates for each of these sub events. Each of them have a unique header, footer and menus associated with it. Since a lot of the content on the pages is shared, content copy and page copy features are made available.
The user registration forms are created and managed entirely from the backend. For each user registration the confirmation message displays the contact details of the relevant contact assigned to a particular region (based on the region selected by the user while filling the registration form). For each event the registration confirmation number will follow a different format. A main exhibitor list has been used and for each event each exhibitor list is filtered on the basis of the sub event.
The pages and content is search engine optimized. Plug-ins like News, banners etc have been provided. Banners have been provided for event partner exposure. The user clicks on these banners are recorded and stored in the admin statistics. Site search facility has been provided.
